STILLE

Atelier 16 presents “Stille,” the exhibition of Nicolò Link Hg Andreatta, curated by Lorenzo Vanda.

Stille is an almost forgotten Italian word for water drops falling one by one, in irregular flows. In German, the same word means silence. Between these two meanings, neither touching, neither excluding the other, sits the work of Link Hg, an artist studying how water moves through territory, and how it shapes the communities living alongside it.

A practice that began in painting and has grown, year after year, into sculpture and installation, with the natural sound of flowing water as its protagonist.
